If church can be streamed, why fight traffic, wrangle kids, and walk through the doors? We get honest about how easy it is to drift into isolation and call it “community,” especially after COVID and with nonstop technology. From Hebrews 10:25 to the meaning of ecclesia, we make the case that gathering is not a guilt trip. It is a gift. When you’re not present, you miss what God wants to do in you, and the church also misses what God wants to do through you.

We also unpack the two ordinances Jesus commands the church to practice: communion and baptism. We clarify ordinance vs sacrament, explain why we see communion as symbolic remembrance rather than a means of earning grace, and talk through why churches should protect the meaning of the Lord’s Supper so it doesn’t become empty routine. Communion is a shared declaration that we believe the same gospel, and it’s meant to strengthen weary believers who feel alone out in the world.

Then we dig into baptism by immersion, the biblical order of belief then baptism, and common questions about infant baptism, “rebaptism,” and kids who want to be baptized. We share personal stories about hesitation, pride, and why delayed obedience is still disobedience. If you’ve been following Jesus for years but never took this step, this conversation is your nudge toward clarity and courage.
